For those who are new to Hinton (or just to me) I’d like to tell you a bit about myself. My name is Janice Moore. I took French as a Second Language in school and have spent several summers in Québec doing French Immersion courses (which was loads of fun by the way!).

I received my teaching degree from the University of Alberta, Faculté St Jean and Université de Sherbrooke, Québec. I have since taught everything from grade 1 to 12 and have moved from Red Deer to Camrose, …to Bashaw,…back to Red Deer, …to Canmore,…until I finally saw the  light and moved to join you all here near the mountains! J

I must say that I enjoy teaching primary grades best of all so far.   The linguistic progress that children make during their initial years of schooling in a second language is nothing less than astounding!   It is a privilege to be a part of such learning. I’m very excited about teaching and am anticipating having a fabulous, super stupendous time with your children!
